How Can You Avoid Inferior Varicose Vein Supplements
And Choose One That Will Actually Work?
"Not All Varicose Vein Supplements Are Created Equal."
Before you buy a varicose vein relief formula, it's important you know what you're buying. Fly-by-night supplement makers are rushing to create their own version of a natural varicose vein supplement and "cash-in" on the new phenomenon of treating varicose vein symptoms naturally.
Beware, many of the supplements out there claim to have the best product, but most of them either don't have enough key natural ingredients to be effective or use poor quality synthetic versions. And more importantly, most supplements do not use the proper dose found beneficial in clinical studies.
Effective results with varicose vein supplements are mainly dependent on the quality of the formula you buy*. So before you purchase, make sure the varicose vein supplement you choose meets all the top criteria.
Why Are Natural Varicose Vein Supplements The Most Popular Approach Today?
Varicose veins are swollen veins that become dilated and pool with blood. These are usually found on the lower legs and appear raised and bluish-purple or red in color. Varicose veins are a very common condition, particularly in women, affecting approximately 25% of adults. Developing varicose veins may be a result of pregnancy, obesity, genetics, age, and standing for long periods of time.
As varicose veins are unsightly and may cause significant pain, it is essential to find a formula that will help you reduce their appearance and associated symptoms. To avoid invasive medical procedures, more and more people are looking into natural solutions to relieve their varicose veins. Many clinical studies have been published demonstrating the vital role of certain key ingredients in supporting vascular health. One natural ingredient, Horse Chestnut, has been found comparable to wearing compression stockings as an effective therapy for varicose veins. Learn more about this study and other key ingredients by clicking here.*
As varicose veins is a condition that anyone can develop and the symptoms can be challenging to live with, it is important to find an effective product that will not only reduce symptoms, but will also work effectively from the inside out in order to reduce the appearance of varicose veins and prevent new occurrence. Natural supplements formulated using key natural ingredients backed by clinical studies and research are an effective way to help relieve varicose veins.

All You Need To Know About Varicose Veins
And How To Treat Challenging Symptoms
OK, first things first - it's important to understand what varicose veins are and what you can do to find relief from painful symptoms, fade the appearance and aid prevention of future occurrences.
Varicose veins are the result of low functioning veins and poor vascular health. Blood flow through the veins is controlled by one-way valves which stops the blood from flowing backward and allows it to continue towards the heart. However, when these valves fail to work properly, the blood begins to pool in the veins which then causes them to enlarge, causing unsightly external lumpy veins.
The legs are the most affected by varicose veins. This is because they are the veins that are furthest from your heart and gravity also makes the upwards flow of the blood more difficult. Varicose veins can affect anyone, but they are more commonly found in those who people who are overweight, pregnant, have a family history of varicose veins, or stand for long periods of time as this puts an additional burden on the veins, increasing the pressure and strain on the veins which leads to complications.
Many people are embarrassed by unsightly varicose veins and they can also cause significant pain. They will not go away on their own and can lead to several complications if they are ignored and become severe. Clinical studies have shown the benefits of many natural ingredients when it comes to relieving varicose veins so you can try to avoid invasive medical interventions.
What Are The Symptoms Of Varicose Veins?
Varicose veins are a common condition affecting approximately 25% of adults. They are more common in women and older adults, affecting about 22 million women and 11 million men between the ages of 40 to 80 years old.
Varicose veins typically appear as visible, swollen veins that are bluish or purplish in color. You may also experience pain, itching, heaviness, achiness, and swelling. Symptoms will not go away on their own, and if they become severe, serious complications can arise such as bleeding, ulcers, blood clots, and chronic inflammation. In some severe cases, the vein may rupture. To diagnose varicose veins, a doctor will examine your legs and any visible veins. An ultrasound or venogram may also be performed to see how the blood is flowing.
What Are The Medical Interventions For Varicose Veins?
There are various treatments for varicose veins, some more invasive than others. There are lifestyle changes you can make to try avoid developing varicose veins by making changes to your diet, losing weight, or using natural supplements.
If symptoms present themselves, it is important that you visit your doctor as soon as possible as early intervention can assist in treating the issue more effectively.
Here, we list some of the common procedures that doctors rely upon in order to treat varicose veins:
- ●Compression Stockings - This is usually the first approach when it comes to relieving varicose veins. These stockings squeeze your legs, putting enough pressure to help the blood flow more easily towards your heart. Different types and brands offer varying levels of compression.
- ●Vein Stripping - This is a surgery performed under anesthesia. The surgeon will make a cut in your skin and remove the vein through the incision.
- ●Sclerotherapy - This procedure does not require anesthesia. Your doctor will inject a solution into the vein causing it to scar and close up. After a few weeks, the vein should be less visible.
- ●Laser Surgery - This procedure uses strong bursts of light to close off smaller varicose veins and spider veins. This makes the veins fade in a less intrusive way.
- ●Ambulatory Phlebectomy - Your doctor will make a series of tiny skin punctures to remove smaller varicose veins. This will require local anesthesia and any scarring will be minimal.
- ●Endoscopic Vein Surgery - This surgery is for more advanced cases. The surgeon will insert a small scope into the vein to close it off. The vein will then be removed through a small incision.
The Science Behind Varicose Vein Supplements
And Do They Really Work?
Natural dietary varicose vein supplements are generally safe to take and are being favored more and more over prescription medication and medical procedures, which can often leave nasty side effects in its tracks. Specific key ingredients have been shown to help reduce the symptoms of varicose veins.
The problem is when manufacturers don't pay attention to the research and produce ineffective formulas that simply will not get the results you are looking for. Always check the label and look for pure, natural ingredients backed by clinical studies and research. Synthetically grown ingredients in a lab and low amounts of key natural ingredients in a product will essentially make a varicose vein supplement ineffective.
Key ingredients that have been identified as being helpful in the treatment of varicose veins include Witch Hazel, Horse Chestnut, Butcher's Broom, Diosmin, and Hesperidin to name but a few. There are various studies and research showing these ingredients to be an effective course of treatment. Details can be found on our clinical study page.
Medical procedures come with pain and sometimes, difficult recovery times. They may also not be long-term solutions with varicose veins often returning with a need to undergo the procedure again.
Natural solutions and lifestyle changes, which includes the use of natural herbal supplements, are excellent long-term solutions to ensure the relief of varicose veins. But make sure you only buy a premium varicose vein supplement that will actually help and not just some powder in a pill.*
Studies: Natural Varicose Vein Healthcare
Summary Of The Clinical Studies And Research
After varicose veins and natural treatments were discussed on TV by the world's most famous doctor, the sales of varicose vein supplements went through the roof. To be clear, he does not endorse any specific varicose vein supplements or products per se, but he does give some guidelines about natural methods of relieving varicose veins.
Varicose veins are a very common condition affecting approximately 25% of adults. They may be unsightly and cause significant pain. There are various studies showing the benefits of certain natural key ingredients in dealing with varicose veins. Lifestyle changes and including these key ingredients into your daily routine go a long way in reducing the risk of varicose veins, managing symptoms, as well as aiding prevention. Using a natural approach is an effective way to manage varicose veins and their associated symptoms, with limited side effects when compared to other medical treatments available.
Clinical Study: Natural vs. Clinical Interventions
An article published in Alternative Medicine Review discusses the many benefits of Horse Chestnut when it comes to dealing with varicose veins. This ingredient has shown an improvement in varicose veins through various clinical studies.
One study mentioned was a randomized, partially blinded, placebo-controlled, parallel study to show Horse Chestnut as comparable to compression stockings as an effective therapy for varicose veins. The 240 chronic venous insufficiency patients were divided into three groups; a compression stocking group, a Horse Chestnut group, and a placebo group.
The Results Of The Clinical Study
The study lasted for 12 weeks and found the lower leg volume of the more severely affected limb to have decreased on average by 43.8ml in the Horse Chestnut group and 46.7ml in the compression stocking group. It increased by 9.8ml in the placebo group. There was also a significant reduction in edema in the Horse Chestnut and compression stocking group compared with the placebo group.
In summary, Horse Chestnut and compression therapy were found to be equally effective for patients with venous insufficiency and edema. However, it seems that better compliance from patients will be achieved with Horse Chestnut than with compression stockings.
